Geubuntu is designed to be a completely community-based operating system, with the goal of a better and perfected integration between E17 and GNOME. Geubuntu 7.10 has a classic set of Ubuntu 7.10 applications mixed with those provided by E17 and GNOME 2.20. You'll experience a usable and productive Enlightenment 17 desktop, even if you're a beginner!

Geubuntu has several performance advantages, but the main advantage comes from the Enlightenment desktop. Enlightenment is a lightweight desktop that can run at a very high speed with incredible 2D effects (animations, fading, shadows, and much more). Enlightenment doesn't need a 3D graphics card for all of its effects to run properly and Xcompmgr is provided by default so you can try out composite effects, like real transparencies and shadows. You'll be able to have an astonishing level of eye-candy even on a relatively old computer and even on a virtual machine!
