The binaries that come with Yoper have been built from scratch using the original sources combined with the best features of major distributions, measuring up to the demanding proliferation of network communications and more intensive digital multimedia, graphics, and audio capabilities which are ushering in a new era of business productivity enabled by a new generation of sophisticated microprocessors, and business application tools.

Yoper supports APT-RPM and tgz packages. There are 1200 packages available, carefully selected and compiled for speed and stability. With the SMART package manager, packages in Yoper are more likely to be installed and upgraded properly. SMART utilizes creative package selection algorithms that can find and install package dependencies even if the obvious route produces errors.

Yoper gives you complete freedom. Free software, free choice of applications that you want to use, the freedom to change your working environment to suit your needs. All the important applications are on one CD. Office, graphic, programming, and multimedia applications are already included and many more applications are available for download from their software mirrors.
