Element 1.3

Element is an operating system for Home Theater or Media Center Personal Computers featuring a ten-foot user interface and designed to be connected to your HDTV for a digital media and internet experience within the comforts of your own living room or entertainment area. Element comes stacked with the software you need to manage your music, videos, photos, and internet media. We've also included a variety of applications that provide many of the same functions as your desktop pc, from web browsing to instant messaging and playing games.

Our aim has been to design a system that is simple and intuitive while not sacrificing aesthetics or the ability to customise your system. We've enhanced a traditional mouse/keyboard driven user experience through a unique implementation of a ten-foot user interface, providing our users with a comfortable media and internet experience they will pick up and understand the essentials of in minutes.

Unlike other home-theater systems Element doesn't limit you to just one form of media center. Element comes preloaded with XBMC, but you can add Boxee, Moovida, Hulu or all of them if you'd like. Our system isn't just for running media software either, it can provide a full fledged computing experience with literally thousands of applications available from word processors to video editors all within our ten-foot interface. You could even use Element as a gaming console with hundreds of 3D and general games also available.

Element is based on and shares a development relationship with the popular Ubuntu Linux, which in contrast is developed primarily for the home-office pc.
