KateOS is a multitasking operating system which provides all that is necessary for programmers, webmasters, administrators, and home users. KateOS focuses on high efficiency, safety, reliability, and low system requirements. It provides full support for generally used multimedia. KateOS 3.6 now fulfills the requirements of their users better than ever, while being both modern and stable. They have changed the entire internationalization system, many system components (including the startup scripts), the services management system, and some other subsystems as well. This new version contains hundreds of updated packages, lots of bugfixes, and many improved solutions.
The most important new features in KateOS 3.6 are:

Beginning with this version, KateOS addresses the needs of multiple user groups. Advanced users can choose the Miniiso and only install the packages they will be using in the future. Intermediate users can choose the CORE version, providing a full control over the installation process. Finally, beginners can limit themselves to the graphical installer, which only requires a couple of clicks to get the system up and running from the hard disk.
